I’ll have art in this exhibition connected to themes in the book Station Eleven that revolve around the “artifacts” of a recently collapsed early 21st-century Western society. In this exhibition curated by Nancy Bergmann, members of the Allied Craftsmen of San Diego explore artistic interpretations of commonplace objects that give viewers the experience of artifacts from another time or place.

Artists address the complexity of gender equality through themes such as sexism, body image, class, race, politics, spirituality, domesticity, biology, and history.

Kathleen Mitchell and I will be exhibiting paintings and sculpture on the subject of teaching the arts in prison settings. Kathleen is with Project Paintat Donovan State Prison and I teach Healing Art Process classes at local women’s detention facility. Krogen Amerika is the name of a Swedish printmaking group and art gallery located in a 300-year-old red, wooden house in the center of Linköping in the region of Östergötland.
